Chapter Ten

“Déjà Vu Again”

From her planet far removed from the terran plain, Shiver watched the action in her crystal ball.  Her favorite play toy was still hard at work trying to defeat the sailor-suited pains in the tail.  She looked on as Beryl ran over her next scheme.

Kunzite looked around.  “Where is Endymion?”

Beryl was talking with Kunzite.  “Endymion is collecting together the Seven Great Youma.”

Kunzite looked at his mistress.   “Why is that?  They’ve already been cleansed.”

“It is true that they have already been cleansed by the Moon Stick and went back to human form, but there is still a use for them.  However, with our dark powers and the dark crystal, we can turn them back into youma.”

“But they’ve already been defeated by the senshi alone.  How will they stand up to the new challenges of The Great Saiyaman and the red-haired girl?”

“Simple!  If all the seven great youma are gathered together then they shall merge into an even greater youma!  This one’s power would rival that of Ramadan’s!”

Kunzite raised an eyebrow.  “Before or after Shiver empowered him?”

Beryl’s features darkened as rage began to fill her face.  “I TOLD YOU NEVER TO MENTION THAT NAME!!!”

            Shiver fell over laughing.

Back in the Juuban district the snow was falling.  Urawa Ryo was just stepping away from the phone booth.  His mind was occupied with the visions that his powers had given him.  They were very confusing, but they showed that he would need help, and somebody else would need his.

About that time a very annoyed redhead was walking down the street with a large burden of groceries.  “Stupid Akane, always going out with her friends when there’s stuff to be done.  Of course Kasumi always handled all the shopping at the dojo, so I can’t expect THAT much from her.  Then this stupid snow turns me into a girl…” Ranma-Chan just continued to grumble about this and that, not paying attention to the smaller boy who was just wrapping up his phone call.  Ranma rammed into him and dropped all of her packages.  “Why don’t you watch where you’re going?!”

The boy lowered his head in embarrassment and helped her gather her groceries together.  “I’m so sorry.  I was lost in thought.”  He finally looked up at the pig-tailed girl.  “You!”

Ranma-Chan got a confused look on her face.  “Me?”

“You’re the one in my vision!  Ramadan!”

Ranma-Chan took a step backwards and dropped into a stance.  “Okay, pal.  You don’t look like much, but I’ll still pound you.”

The boy threw up his hands.  “No! You misunderstand me!  I used to be a youma like you were!  I was healed of my power while you were able to conquer yours.”

Ranma-Chan didn’t relax.  She flexed her leading fist, cracking the knuckles in that hand.  “You’re not convincing me, pal.  How do you know that?”

“I can see the future and I’ve been seeing everything happen around here.  I know that Endymion is after me, and then he will go after Rei’s grandfather.”

Ranma-Chan wracked her mind for a second.  Oh yeah, one of the boy-starved broad squad.  “Okay, so what exactly is going on?”

“The dark kingdom is gathering the Seven Great Youma to form the Ultra-Youma.  His power would be much greater than yours.  Even now.  We have to stop them before it’s too late.”

            “Ranko!”

They both turned to see Makoto walk up.  The taller brunette noticed who Ranko was with.  “Ryo?  What are you doing here?  And why are you with Ranma’s cousin?”

The boy looked up at her.  “He’s supposed to help me.”

Makoto shook her head to make sure that she heard him correctly.  “One more time?”

Ranma-Chan clapped her hand over Ryo’s mouth.  “Ha, ha, yeah.  I’m supposed to help him out with some things.  Nothing I can’t handle.  You and the other girls can set this one out.”

Makoto looked at the redhead.  “What ‘other girls’?”

The pigtailed martial artist rolled her eyes.  “Duh!  Like it’s not obvious that you and the rest of the broad squad are the…uh…you know.”  She made a quick glance at Ryo to make sure that he didn’t pick anything up.

Ryo pulled Ranma-Chan’s hand down from his mouth.  “It’s okay.  I know she’s a senshi as well.”

Ranma-Chan shrugged her shoulders.  “Now that THAT cat is out of the bag…It’s pretty frickin’ obvious that you and the others are senshi just like Usagi.  Maybe if you had extra friends, or didn’t all hang out together at the same time, it would be less obvious.”

Ryo looked at Ranma-Chan.  “If you know their secret, shouldn’t you tell them yours?”

Ranma slapped his hand back over the boys mouth.  What a loudmouth!  “Ix-Nay, on the Urse-Cay!”  She hissed into his ear.

            “What?” Makoto asked.

            “Nothin’!”  The redhead blurted.

“Okay…so, Ryo, what does Ranko have to do with this?”

Ryo once again pulled the hand away from his face.  Ranma-Chan glared at him, warning him not to spill the beans about her real gender.  “H- She is going to help you and the other senshi defeat the Ultra-Youma.”

Makoto was now royally confused.  About that time her communicator went off.  Luna’s voice came over the line.  “Mako-Chan, you need to come to the Hikawa shrine immediately!  There’s been a few kidnappings that concern us!”

Makoto nodded her head and put away the communicator.  “All right.  I don’t know what’s going on, but you two are coming with me.  We’re going to the Hikawa Shrine.”

Ryo shook his head.  “No, I can’t.  You can’t put the last two of us together in one place!”

Ranma-Chan picked him up by the back of his shirt and turned him around to face her.  “You’re coming, pal, and we’re going to make sure you don’t do something stupid like running off alone.”

            “But I just told Ami-Chan…”

Ranma-Chan raised an eyebrow.  “How do you know Ami?”

“She’s his girlfriend.”  Makoto chimed in.

Ryo turned a shade of red that rivaled Ranma-Chan’s hair.  “No…not really…I hope to someday…” He started pressing the tips of his index fingers together.

Ranma-Chan smiled at him.  He may be a whistle blower, but he still seems nice, just like Ami.  Now I know he’s coming with us.  “No argument, pal, you’re coming.”  She turned and started carrying Ryo in one hand and some groceries in the other.  She turned and looked at Makoto over her shoulder.  “Hey, Makoto.  Can you do me a favor and grab the rest of those bags for me?”

Makoto put her hands on her hips.  “Hey!  What do I look like?  I’m still mad at you!”

“I’ll tell you some juicy stuff about Ranma…”

Makoto scooped up all the bags in one grab.  “Why didn’t you say so?”

They made their way onto the grounds.  The others were already sitting on the steps waiting for them.  Ami jumped up when she saw Ryo.  “Ryo-Kun, I thought you didn’t want our help.”

Ryo scratched the back of his head.  “Well…they kind of dragged me out here.”

Ami turned to see Ranko standing behind Ryo with a huge grin on her face.  “Ranko!  It’s nice to see you again.  I didn’t get a chance to ask you last time:  how is your stomach?”

Ranma-Chan patted her stomach.  “It’s just great.  I told you I was a fast healer.”

“What happened to your stomach?”  Makoto asked.

Ranma-Chan raised an eyebrow.  “Funny you should ask…”

Ryo pointed at the redhead.  “You sh….” Ranma-Chan managed to catch him just in time.  Ryo was getting used to the taste of her hand.

Geeeez!!!  Ranma-Chan thought.  “Never mind him, he’s crazy.”

“Ryo-Kun is not crazy!”  Although the volume was barely above normal conversation, but coming from Ami, it was an earsplitting shout.

Hooking them up is going to be easier than I thought.  Ranma-Chan whispered again into Ryo’s ear.  “Okay, bub, how many times to I have to remind you not to mention my curse?  Or do I need to start breaking bones?”   Ryo swallowed hard.  “That’s what I thought.”

“What did you just tell him, Ranko?”  Ami asked.

“Nothin’.”  Ranma-Chan quickly turned to the other Senshi.  “So we’re all here to fight the giant youma, right?”

“What about a giant youma?”  Luna asked.

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!  TALKING CAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!”  Ranma-Chan took off toward the gate but missed by a few feet.  She managed to get through the wall, but he didn’t make it through the wall across the street.

After the collective senshi pried her out of her impression in the wall, they laid her down on the front porch, and Ryo told them about Endymion’s plot.

“WAAAH!!!  MAMO-CHAN!!!”  Usagi wailed at the thought that her Mamoru had kidnapped all those people.  Minako and Makoto tried to control the flood of tears.

Ami in the meantime was contemplating Ranko.  Usagi and Minako had told her how Ranma had freaked out at the sight of Luna and Artemis.  Why did his cousin have the same phobia?

All of the sudden Rei sat bolt upright.  “Guys!  I feel a HUGE evil coming this way!  Change quick!”

“Is it Mamo-Chan?”  Usagi asked through her tears.

            “No.  It’s bigger!  Just change!”

The senshi transformed into their Sailor Forms just as a man and younger woman walked through the front gate.  Jupiter recognized the woman as Bra, but couldn’t figure out who the other one was.  He was a shorter man with a large pointy hairstyle that looked like a pork bun.

“Which one is the evil one?” Sailor Moon whispered aside to Sailor Mars.

“The man.  He’s got an incredibly powerful evil aura.”

The man had an irritated look on his face as looked the senshi over.  They definitely had power, nothing compared to his of course.  There was something familiar about them, but he couldn’t put his finger on it.  He finally turned to the green-haired girl beside.  “So where is this boy, Bra?  I hope you didn’t drag me all the way out here for nothing!”

Bra looked around.  “I know he’s here!  I can still feel his Ki, but it’s dampened.”  She turned to the girls in the ridiculously short skirts.  “Okay girls, where are you hiding Ranma?”

The senshi got a confused look on their face and looked at each other.  “Ranma?”

Bra put a hand on her hip.  “Yeah, you know, Ranma.  Cute boy, black hair with a pigtail, Chinese clothes:  You can’t miss him.”

The senshi still looked confused.  “We haven’t seen him around.”  Jupiter spoke up.

Ranma-Chan came around and stood up on the porch.  He saw the scene before him, and then realized that the man with the pointy hair had a power that rivaled Goku’s.

“So what are you doing here, old man?”  Ranma-Chan heard Jupiter ask.

“I’m here to convince that boy to date my daughter.”

Ranma-Chan started to twitch.  It’s Shampoo and Cologne all over again.

Bra noticed the redhead sitting up on the porch.  “Ranma!  There you are!”

Everyone turned their attention to Ranma-Chan.  “Ranma?”  The senshi all said at once.

Ah crap!  Ranma-Chan thought.

Jupiter walked up and poked the redhead in the breast.  “You’re Ranma?  But these feel so real.”

Ranma-Chan slapped her hand away.  “That’s because they are!  Now stop that!”

Jupiter took a step back.  “H-h-h-how?  W-w-w-where you a girl the whole time?”

Ranma-chan shook her head.  “Obviously not.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to deal with this guy.”  She walked out and realized that she was only slightly shorter than the man in her cursed form.  “I’m Saotome Ranma.”

“I’m Vegita.”  He looked the pigtailed girl up and down.  “You’re a girl!”

“Quick, ain’t ’cha?”

Vegita turned to his daughter.  “Your mother will not be pleased with your new fad.  I’m not sure I am either.”

Bra threw up her arms.  “No!  She’s really a guy!  It’s a curse!”

Ranma-Chan smirked and went into her puppy dog eyes routine.  “Yes, it’s a curse being a woman.  I always wanted to be born a guy.  That’s why I’m a lesbian.”

Vegita harrumphed and Bra’s jaw hit the ground.  She picked up her jaw and shook Ranma-Chan.  “Ranma!  Tell him about you’re really a guy!”

The smile on the little redhead’s face became larger and more devilish.  She pulled up her shirt at Vegita.  “Do I look like a guy?”

Although Vegita had been a happily married man for several years, the sight was still enough to elicit a small trickle of blood out of one nostril.  “You are indeed a woman.”  He quickly regained his composure and turned to his daughter.  “I’ve gone along with everything else you’ve ever wanted, but I’m going to have to put my foot down here.”

“But DADDY!!!”

About that time, yet another visitor came over the wall.  “Urawa Ryu!  Come out and face me!”  Endymion in his Tuxedo Kamen guise shouted from the wall.

“Mamo-Chan!”  Sailor Moon shouted.

Ranma-Chan took a look at the scene around her and had just one thing in her mind.  Okay, now it’s getting stupid.

“I’m also here for the priest of the shrine!  I’m going to absorb their essences into the crystal!  It was so nice of you to have them both in the same place for me.”

Vegita rubbed his chin.  “Now where have I heard that one before…?”

Ranma-Chan stepped out.  “Okay, flower-guy!  You’re plot ends here!”

Vegita put a hand on her shoulder.  “Wait a moment.”  He raised his head back to the man standing on the wall.  “Let me guess…you want to absorb the two of them to yourself in order to achieve you’re perfect form.”

Endymion raised an eyebrow at the pointy-haired Saiya-Jin.  “What?  No.  I’m just going to bind them all together to form the Ultra-Youma.”

Vegita shook his head.  “Close enough.  I know I haven’t had a decent fight in ages, especially since Kakarrot is too busy saving the universe to spar anymore, but I learned my lesson the first time this happened.”

Endymion was thoroughly confused at this point.  “We haven’t tried this before!”

“Sure, you haven’t, but the plot has been used before.  I lost my son because of it.”

Now Ranma-Chan was confused.  “But, isn’t Trunks still alive?”

Vegita looked down at her.  “Have you been trying to date my son as well?!”

The pigtailed girl shook her head.  “Nah.  He’s dating a friend of mine.”

“Oh, yes, that gold-digging Nabiki girl.”

“You got it!”

“To answer you’re question:  He was brought back with the dragonballs, but he wasn’t the same Trunks you know.”

Endymion had recovered enough to be indignant.  “DO YOU MIND!!! I’M TRYING TO CARING OUT AN EVIL PLOT HERE!!!”  He waved around the black crystal for emphasis.

Vegita cocked his head aside and put his hands on his hips.  “And what are you going to do with that thing, sign your name in the dirt?”

“Who the hell are you anyway?”

Vegita stepped forward and smiled his cocky grin.  Ranma-Chan was amazed at how much it looked like hers.  “I’m Vegita, Prince of the Saiya-Jin race.”

Bra came up and elbowed him in the ribs.  “Wouldn’t you be the king, since Grandpa Vegita is dead?”

Vegita rolled his eyes and looked down at her daughter.  “I was never properly coroneted, so I’m still a prince.”

“Oh.”

Ranma-Chan smirked at her.  “So I guess you’re not a princess, huh?”

Bra stomped her foot.  “I’m still a Princess!”

Vegita patted his daughter on the head.  “That’s right.  You’re still my little princess.”

“DADDY!!!”  She yelled, blushing in embarrassment.

Ranma-Chan started rolling on the ground laughing.

Endymion was livid.  “I’M TIRED OF BEING IGNORED!!!  I’M TRYING TO RUN AN EVIL PLOT HERE!!!”

“Put a sock in it!”

Endymion turned to see Sailor Mercury jumped past him and grab the black crystal away from him.

She held the crystal over her head.  “You will never make me fight Ryo-Kun again!”  She threw the crystal down, and it shattered into several pieces.  Five pulses of live energy flew off to reform into the people that had been absorbed into the crystal.

“How dare you!”  Endymion was seething.

Ranma-Chan jumped up and kicked him off the wall.  “That’s for throwing that rose in my arm!”

Endymion flew across the street and embedded into the same wall that Ranma-Chan had before.  The only difference was that he fell out of his impression, and his impression was exactly ninety degrees turned from Ranma-Chan’s.

Ranma-Chan picked him and shook him awake.  “You can’t sleep yet.  I’ve still got a lot of anger for the dark kingdom to work out.”  She chucked him back over the wall into the shrine courtyard.

Sailor Moon eeped and went to her prince’s side.  “Are you all right, Mamo-Chan?”

Endymion’s eyes were swirling in the classic unconscious look.

Ranma-Chan came back over the wall and picked the poor servant of the dark kingdom.  “I told you, you couldn’t sleep yet!”  She shook him until he was coherent again.  “Now what do you know about Shiver?”

“Shiver?”  Vegita raised an eyebrow.

Ranma-Chan turned to him.  “You heard of her?”

“She’s Freezer’s mother.  She is the queen of magic in the universe, while her husband was the king of power.  Their son was the heir to the power.  That’s why he could transform into more powerful forms while his father couldn’t.  She is very dangerous and must be stopped.”

“Thank you mister exposition.”  Ranma-Chan remarked.  She turned back to the almost limp form of Endymion.  “Okay, time to resume the beating.”

Sailor Moon came up and grabbed his arm.  “You can’t!  He’s the man I love!”

The redhead shrugged her shoulders.  “Maybe I’ll knock some sense into him.”

“Let me heal him!”

“Heal him?”

“Just step back.  I’ll take care of him.”

Ranma-Chan dropped Endymion on the ground and stepped back.  Sailor Moon pulled out her Moon rod.

Bra leaned over to Vegita.  “What do you think she’s going to do with that?”

Vegita shrugged. “As long as she doesn’t say ‘off with his head’, it doesn’t matter.”

Sailor Moon turned to them and scowled.  She turned back to Endymion.  “Moon Healing Escalation!”  She went through the dance and fired off the bolt of healing energy at her would-be boyfriend.

The energy cascaded over him.  Endymion was raised into the air, but resisted the transformation.  He was suddenly bombarded with all his memories of before the Dark Kindom captured him.

Luna snuck out from under the shrine and whispered to Sailor Moon.  “You’re doing it Sailor Moon!  Raise the energy level!”

Sailor Moon nodded and willed the Silver Crystal to put out more power.

The light intensified and Tuxedo Kamen was enveloped by the energy.  “Refresh!”  He shouted as he reverted back into Chiba Mamoru.

“You did it!  You got Mamoru-san back!”  Sailor Mars cheered.

“Thank goodness.”  Sailor Moon said before she fainted.

Moving faster than anyone could see, Ranma-Chan caught her.  “You okay?”

Sailor Moon nodded her head.  “The power was straining, but I’ll live.  How’s Mamo-Chan?”

Luna had quickly darted back to her hiding spot when she had seen Ranma-Chan come over to the princess.

They all looked at Mamoru as he was enveloped by a dark aura.  Before anyone could do anything, he was transported away.

“The Dark Kindom got him again!”  Sailor Mercury surmised.

Sailor Moon dropped her head.  “Oh no.  Not again.”

The senshi went over to comfort their leader.  Ranma-Chan took a few steps away from them to give them some privacy.

Vegita stepped up beside the redhead and put a hand on her shoulder.  “You do have a noble fighting spirit, but I can’t allow you to date my daughter…I want grandchildren.”

Ranma-Chan smiled her devilish grin again.  “Oh, that’s okay.  I understand.  There’s plenty of fish in the sea.”

Vegita nodded and started to walk out the shrine.  “Come along, Bra.  We’re going home.  You’re going to go back to Central City high.”

“But DADDY!!!  HE’S REALLY A GUY!!!”

“Hogwash!  Now come along!”  He grabbed Bra’s arm and started dragging her out of the shrine.

Ranma-Chan stood waving at the departing Saiya-Jin.  “Buh-bye.  Buuuuh-bye.  Buh-bye.  Which part didn’t you understand?  The Buh, or the bye?”  The senshi stared at her.  “What?”

About that time the final visitor of the day dropped by the shrine.  The Great Saiya-Man dropped out of the sky and took a look around.  “Okay, where’s the fight?”

            Everyone else facefaulted.
