“How much stuff did you pack, Akane?” Ranma was straining under the load he was carrying down the sidewalk. He was carrying his pack as well as several suitcases and boxes.
“I just packed all the essentials.” Akane was carrying only a light bag.
“Essentials for what? Furnishing a house?!”
“For living, stupid!”
“I’m not the one packing for a nuclear holocaust, idiot!”
Pan, who was just carrying her pack, shook her head. “I thought you guys were going for a new start. This one is looking a lot like the old one.”
Akane and Ranma stopped. They had both sworn after the first failed wedding attempt to make a new start. They didn’t want a repeat of the first attempt, especially that freak rhino incident.
“Come on, you guys. Just try to be nice to each other. We’re here in a new district. No pushy fathers, no extra fiancées; it’ll be a great time for a new start. We’ll just stay with my Uncle Goten at his dojo and it’ll be fine.”
“So what is your uncle like?” Akane asked.
“Is he as strong as you?” Ranma asked.
Pan smiled. “He’s stronger actually. He’s half Saiya-Jin, while I’m a quarter. He was a Super Saiya-Jin when he was seven, while it took me till I was sixteen!”
“Whoa. How much stronger is he now?”
“Not that much stronger. He lost interest and slacked off on his training. He’s probably doing better now that he’s started the dojo.”
“So why did he start a dojo, if he lost interest?”
“He never said.”
“Ahem!” Akane was getting a little tired of being ignored. “What’s he like?”
“He’s nice enough. A lot more like Grandpa Goku than my daddy. I really only see him on holidays, so I don’t know what he’s like now. But I’m sure we’ll all be good friends.”
Ranma threw back his head. “I think I’m going to be pretty bored here. I may get to like it.”
Akane shook her head. “Ranma, life is never normal around you.”
“You are so uncute.”
“But you love me.”
“…”
Pan grinned at the two. Akane had found her new favorite way of shutting Ranma up. The fights never lasted half as long as they used to, and Akane still always had the upper hand. She never told Ranma that she loved him. Yeah, he could take her consent to the wedding as a sign, but she never actually said it. She may never do it, as long as she can use it to hold over Ranma’s head.
Finally, the trio arrived at Goten’s Dojo. Ranma looked at the over elaborate sign with such a simple name. “Why couldn’t he make it a school of something or other martial arts?”
Pan shrugged. “I dunno.”
They walked in and Goten was in the middle of teaching a large group of teenagers (mostly girls) the basics of martial arts. Ranma watched Goten move among the students and ogle each girl. So that’s why he got into the business.
Goten looked up and noticed the newcomers. “Pan-Chan!” He ran over and gave his niece a hug. “How have you been? How are Gohan and Videl?”
Pan returned the hug. “I’ll tell you later.” She smiled. “You have a class to finish.”
Goten smiled back. “Of course. We’ll be done in a little bit.” Goten went back to the front of the dojo and continued the class.
Ranma dropped all their stuff at the back of the room and leaned against the back of dojo. He looked over the class and judged their ability. A lot of them he could tell were beginners, a few others were experienced, but were there to learn more, but there was one in particular that was in desperate need of help, a tall brunette with a ponytail. She looked vaguely familiar to Ranma, but he couldn’t quite place it. He watched her stumble through a few katas, but after a little bit it started to hurt. He walked over to her. “You’d do a lot better if you’d point your foot where you’re punching. It’ll help you keep your balance better and keep all your force going forward.”
She turned around to him. “WHAT DO YOU KNOW-oh!” She got a good look at the pigtailed martial artist. She blushed. “Uh, sorry. What were you saying?”
“Get back into your stance.” She dropped into her stance. “Now throw your punch and hold it.” She did. “Now look at your foot.” She looked down and saw her foot was pointing in a forty-five degree angle. “You’re power is going off to the side. Straighten your foot. Try the punch again and work on laying your foot down straight and see if you notice a difference.”
She did as Ranma said and she noticed that she was more stable and more power was in the punch. “Wow. Thanks. Uhh?”
“Ranma.”
“Ranma.” She said it with air of adoration. She said the name a few more times in her mind, and it kept on sounding better every time she heard it.
Ranma waved his hand in front of her face a few times. “Hello? Anybody home?” The girl had just froze in place.
She finally came to and blushed with embarrassment. “I’m sorry, you were saying?”
“You need to pay attention to class more too.” Ranma went back to the back of the room with a slight feeling of unexplainable dread.
Pan was leaning on the back wall watching the class. Akane had gone off to find the bathroom. Pan leaned over to Ranma. “I leave you alone for one minute and you’re already picking up more women.”
Ranma stiffened, that explained the dread. He started waving his hands in front of her. “No, No! It’s not like that! She just needed some help! Don’t tell Akane!”
Pan patted him on the shoulder. “Don’t worry, I’m just giving you a hard time.”
The class ended and the students started to file out. Akane had come back and was talking with Ranma at the back of the room (arguing was actually a better term). The brunette turned to see the couple fighting at the back. That must be his girlfriend. Why would she want to yell at such a hunk? I’m going to have to show him what a loving girlfriend can do! She left the dojo with a determined look on her face, swearing to do something about the injustice that that man was suffering.
Meanwhile Ranma was still arguing with Akane.
“I bet you were staring at all the girls out there!”
“I was not! I was watching their techniques!”
“So you were watching!”
“Not like Happosai, you stupid tomboy!”
“Boys! You’re all perverts, I swear!”
Pan just sat off to the side holding her head in shame. Goten came over and sat beside her. “What’s up, Pan-Chan? And who’re the shrews?”
“Uncle Goten, meet Ranma and Akane. They’re the ones I told you about. They’re here for a fresh start on their relationship.”
“If that’s fresh, I’d hate to see the overripe.”
“That’s the problem. They won’t stop fighting. Akane has the power to stop the fights now, but she only uses it when things aren’t going her way. Sometimes it’s like she actually WANTS to fight.”
“How can she stop the fights?”
“Ranma’s already told her that he loves her. She just says, ‘But you love me’, and the fight’s over. She has never told him her feelings, sooo…on they go.”
“Sound like a serious problem. Did I hear you right on the phone? You said they were engaged?”
“Yup. Already had one failed wedding attempt.”
“Cold feet?”
“Rhinoceros and two other fiancées.”
“What?!”
“You don’t want to know.”
“Oh-Kay. Maybe I should try and break this up.” He got up and walked over to them.
Pan tried to reach out and stopped him, but she was just left there holding her hand out clasping at thin air. “Don’t! Oh never mind.”
Goten walked to the side of the couple facing each other off. “So you must be Ranma and Akane! Welcome to my home!”
They didn’t even bat an eye. “We’re not all perverts!”
“Yes, you are!”
Goten just stood there dumbfounded. “Uh. Guys?”
Akane turned on him. “So why do you have so many girls in your classes?”
“Because they want to learn self defense.”
“And why did you get into this business?”
“To pick up women.”
She turned back to Ranma. “See! I told you so!”
Goten threw up his hands in front of him. “That doesn’t make me a pervert!”
Akane would not be budged. “Yes, it does!”
“Listen here, girly! If you’re going to live in my house, you’re going to have to get along with me, and right now, you’re not scoring points! Why don’t you take a couple of Midol and settle down the march, Ms. Fonda.”
“What?”
Ranma pointed to Goten. “I think he just said you’re a PMS-ing feminist.” WHAM! “What was that for?!”
Akane put away the mallet. “For saying that!”
Pan had had about enough. “Akane! Put a sock in it! You’re giving us a headache!”
“But they’re perverts!”
Ranma had had enough. “Forget it! I’m leaving!” He picked up his pack and headed toward the door.
Akane stopped when he turned to leave, but before she could do anything else, the door was slammed closed. “I…I didn’t want him to leave.” She whispered.
“You had a funny way of showing it!” Pan yelled at her.
“You heard that?”
“I’m part Saiya-Jin, I hear a lot. What was all that about? Why are you so militant all of the sudden? You almost married that guy and now you’re ripping his head off!”
“I…don’t know.” Akane shoulders slumped.
Goten crossed his arms. “Sounds like somebody got corrupted.” He said matter-of-factly.
“What?” Akane turned to him.
“Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. You’re enjoying the ability to win all the fights, but you’re not considering other people. It’s the same thing that happened with Gotenks.”
“Who? You have another brother?”
“Close. Gotenks was a fusion of Trunks and me. When we fused, the power went to our heads and we became arrogant beyond belief.”
“And that’s different than you usually are becaaaauuse…” Pan smirked at her uncle.
“Ha. Ha. Pan. This is serious. The power went to our heads and a lot of people got hurt. We could have stopped Majin Buu a lot earlier than he was, but we were too busy showing off. I’m assuming you’ve heard about Majin Buu.”
“Pan told us the stories.”
“Good. Now do you understand?”
“Not really.”
“You have to let him win sometimes, otherwise the relationship won’t work. He’d be better off with one of the other…two?” He turned to Pan. She nodded her head. “Damn, lucky guy! Anyways, what would make you better than the other choices? They were apparently willing to fight for him and here you are pushing him away.”
Why do they always have to make sense? Akane thought. “I guess I should go apologize.”
Pan crossed her arms. “Yeah, I don’t need to remind you why you’re here, do I?”
Akane dropped her shoulders lower, the wind totally gone out of her sails. “No. No, you don’t.” Akane turned and trudged out the door.
Goten just watched her leave. I’ve seen better. “It’s hard swallowing your pride.”
Pan cocked an eyebrow at her uncle. “How would you know?”
“Hey!”
Meanwhile Ranma had found a nice park by a canal to set up camp for the night. Luckily, he packed for any occurrence. Course his pack never changed from the one that he had the first time he had arrived at the Tendo dojo. He still packed light and had all the essentials in case he found himself sleeping out in the open. He set his pack down, sat down against a tree, and began to think. Why does she always have to be like that? Why doesn’t she ever believe me? I told her I loved her, isn’t that enough? She didn’t know how much pride I had to swallow to say that. Stupid tomboy, why did I fall for her again? I don’t remember why or when it was exactly. This’ll just give me a headache if I keep thinking about it. There’s only one thing that will make me feel better. Ranma stood up and began to run through a few katas.
After a while he started to hear some noises off to his side. What was that? He charged and saw one of the top ten strangest things in his life: A monster with a giant electric razor for a hand chasing a blonde with oddball pigtails and a short skirt. By the property damage Ranma could tell who the good guy was. And plus the razor reminded him of Principal Kuno, he had to beat the stuffing out of it on principle.
Ranma launched into the fray and kicked the monster in the chest sending it back several yards. He turned to check on the girl. “Are you okay?”
“Yes, who are you?”
“Saotome Ranma.”
“Are you from the Moon Kingdom?”
“What Moon Kingdom?”
“Nevermind.”
“Who are you?”
“Grrrrooowwll!” The beast was back.
“Hey! Just stay down! KAMEHAMEHA!” The blast hit the beast and blew the razor to pieces and the demon to the ground. Ranma cracked his knuckles. “All right. Just what I need right now: A punching bag!”
“Wait!” The blonde grabbed his arm.
“What?”
“That youma is a transformed human! You’ll kill them if you destroy them!”
“Youma?”
“It’s a long story, just let me handle this. MOON HEALING ESCALATION!” She waved her wand in a circle and the light flew from her wand and struck the youma. The youma instantly split into seven people, who all fainted.
“Whoa! Not bad. But I still need a punching bag.”
“Give me back the Silver Crystal, Sailor Moon!”
Ranma turned to see a man dressed in a black tuxedo with cape, hat, and mask. “All right! Ask and ye shall receive!” Ranma started cracking his knuckles again.
Again the blonde grabbed his arm. “Wait!”
Ranma spun around on her. “WHAT NOW!!!”
“He’s the man I love!” She was starting to get teary eyed.
Ranma shook his head. “And I thought my life was screwed up.” He looked back at the girl. “Is there anyone around here I can beat up?”
“Tuxedo Kamen! You’re okay!” Another girl showed up with an outfit like the first, except hers was red and she had long black hair.
Ranma turned to the blonde. “Let me guess, she’s your friend and I can’t beat her up either.”
The girl nodded her head.
“I give up!” He started to walk away.
“Wait!”
He felt someone grab his arm again. His aura started to grow as he started to get angry. He spun around. “WHAT!!! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!” He realized that it was a different girl grabbing him this time. This one had a black skirt and brown hair in a ponytail. She was looking like she was about to cry. “I’m sorry! I thought you were someone else.”
“It’s okay. I just wanted to…uh…thank you. Yeah! For helping our princess!”
“Okay. Princess of what?”
“The Moon Kingdom of course.”
“Okay. What’s a Moon Kingdom?”
“Long story. You want to hear it over dinner!” She grabbed his hand with both of hers and looked at him expectantly.
Alarms started going off in Ranma’s head. “Ah, no. Sorry…uh…previous engagement.” Literally.
“Maybe some other time?”
“RRRRAAAAAANNNNMMMMAAAAA!”
Ranma slapped his forehead with his free hand. She ALWAYS picks the wrong time.
Akane grabbed Ranma by the back of the shirt and threw him through a wall. “Honestly! I came out here to apologize and you’re already out here picking up more girls!”
Ranma was getting REALLY tired of saying this to Akane. “It’s not what it looks like!”
“I’ll show you!” Akane started to roll up her sleeves.
“Stop right there!”
Akane turned to see the girl who Ranma was trying to pick up. “What do you want?”
“Cute boys are not to be beat up! They are to be loved! In the name of the Moon, I, the beautiful Senshi Sailor Jupiter, shall punish you!”
“Oh spare me!” Akane waved her hand dismissively at the Senshi.
On the other side of the battlefield, Tuxedo Kamen had just left to return to the Negaverse, leaving behind two heart broken girls. The sudden reverse of sides that their love had taken saddened Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars.
Sailor Moon beat her fist into her palm. “I know, he’s being controlled by them! I’ll save him with my love!”
Mars was still sad. The man, whom she thought was dead, was back and had turned sides on them. The Moon cat Artemis walked up beside her. “Cheer up. At least you know he’s alive.”
“That’s right.” Sailor Venus agreed. “Isn’t that right, Jupiter.” Pause. “Jupiter? Anybody see where she went?”
“SUPREME THUNDER!!!”
“She’s over there!” They all sounded off and pointed in unison.
.
Akane saw the ball of lightening coming right for her. She was frozen in place.
“Akane!!!” Ranma dove in front of her at the last minute and took the blast. He fell to the ground in a heap.
Jupiter ran over to him. “Why did you do that? She needed to be punished!”
Ranma unsteadily got back to his feet. “She’s my fiancée.” He scooped up Akane in his arms and shot straight up into the air.
“There goes another one, flying away.” Jupiter sulked. “Waitaminute. Flying!?!” She jumped up and looked again. Sure enough, he was flying. How does he do that?
The other Senshi came onto the scene. Venus ran up to Jupiter. “What happened? Are you all right?”
“Yeah, but I don’t think Ranma is.”
“Who’s Ranma?”
“Never mind.”
Ranma landed back at Goten’s Dojo and put Akane down. Akane just stood there and stared at her feet. She was trying to figure out what she was going to say to him. She looked up and saw the hole in his shirt where the blast struck him and the scorch marks on his skin to go with it. Her shoulders sank. Ranma watched her for another minute, shook his head, and walked off.
“Where are you going?” Akane asked.
“I don’t feel like arguing any more tonight. I’m going back to the park.”
“Ranma…Ranma, I’m sorry.”
Ranma turned and looked at her standing there. She still hadn’t looked at him. “What did you say?”
“I said, ‘I’m sorry.’ I’m sorry about yelling at you. I…I want you to stay here tonight. I promise I won’t argue again.” She looked up and Ranma saw the tears in her eyes.
“Don’t cry! Please. I’ll stay here. I just need to go get my pack.” Ranma pointed over his shoulder.
“Ranma.”
“Yes.”
“Can you forgive me?”
Ranma wanted something to hold over her head like she had on him, but that look in her eyes melted him. “Yeah, I forgive you. I’ll be back in a little bit.”
“Okay.”
Ranma waved and turned to walk away. Akane watched him walk until he was out of sight, and then went back into the dojo. Ranma looked over his shoulder after a while and noticed he couldn’t see the dojo anymore. He immediately slumped over. He had to put a hand on a building to keep his balance. I don’t know what that Sailor Jupiter hit me with, but it definitely didn’t feel good. That and the flight back to the dojo really took it out of me. At least all I have to do is get my pack and head back to the dojo. He continued his slow walk toward the park. After a little bit, it started to rain on him. Great! That’s the last thing I need! Ranma-Chan thought. The now female Ranma drudged on a little slower than before because of her reduced strength. At least I lost a little bit of the weighted clothes. She patted her stomach through the hole in her shirt.
“You look like you could use a hand.”
Ranma-Chan turned to see a girl that looked somewhat like Akane walking behind him, carrying an umbrella. She had such a very quiet voice; he almost didn’t hear her. “No applause please.”
She smiled at the joke. “Do you need some help?”
“No. I’m okay. I just need to get to the park to get my pack.”
“You’ll be soaked to the bone before you get there. Here, I’ll walk you to the park and you can share my umbrella.”
Ranma-Chan smirked at the girl. “Thanks.” Ranma-Chan tried walking on her own. The other girl walked up beside her and held them umbrella where it covered both of them.
“My name is Mizuno Ami. What’s yours?”
“Saotome Ranko.”
“Nice to meet you. How long have you been in Juuban?”
“I just got here. It’s been a rough day.”
“Must have been. What happened to you?”
“Uh…I really don’t want to talk about it.”
“Okay.”
Ranma-Chan stumbled along a while and Ami grabbed one of her arms and threw it over her shoulder. She helped the redhead stand up straighter and took some of the weight. This girl weighs a ton! The blue haired girl thought. She looked down and saw the hole in her shirt and the burns on her skin. “What happened?! You need to get to a hospital!”
“I’m fine, really! I just need to get my bag, and then I can get home to sleep it off.”
“You’re going to sleep off second degree burns?!”
“Trust me. I can do it. I’ve had lots of experience.”
“What?!” This was definitely not an ordinary little girl.
“You get lots of experience when the master of your art’s favorite weapon is bombs.”
Ami was getting more confused by the minute. “What art involves bombs?”
“The School of Anything Goes Martial Arts.”
“That one I haven’t heard of before.”
“There are really very few practitioners.”
“I can see why that is if the master uses bombs as his weapon!”
Ranma-Chan laughed at the girl. “That’s pretty funny. I’ll have to remember that.”
At last they came to the park. They found the tree where Ranma-Chan had left her pack. Ranma-Chan walked over to the pack. “There you arrrr…” “Thump!” Ranma-Chan passed out from exhaustion.
Ami ran the redhead’s side. “Ranko!” Ami shook her. “Are you okay?” The girl didn’t move. Ami tried to pick the girl up, but the redhead outweighed her by about three times. Ami thought for a second. I’ll have to change into Sailor Mercury to move her. Good thing my mom’s still at the hospital. I can sneak her in the house in costume no problem. She took a quick look North and South and pulled out her henshin stick. “Mercury Power, Make Up!” With a flash of light and blue ribbons, Sailor Mercury stood where Ami once was. She picked up Ranko and her pack. She was surprised that she was actually straining from the exertion. Both objects weighed an unbelievable amount. She made her slow way back to her house.
A while later, Ranma-Chan awoke. She looked around the room and didn’t recognize anything. Her surroundings were pretty girly in her opinion, so she knew she wasn’t at the dojo. She stretched out and looked down at what she was wearing, blue pajamas. At least I didn’t wake up in negligee in some pervert’s room. She got out of the bed and looked around the room. She found Ami asleep on the floor. She shook the blue haired girl. “Hey. Uh…Where’s my clothes?”
Ami slowly opened her eyes. “Ranko? Oh, they’re in the dryer. You were soaked when I brought you back here. I washed and dried them. You might want to find another shirt though. That one was shredded and weighed a ton.”
Ranma-Chan thought of something. “How did you get me here?”
“I…called for help when you passed out. My mother looked at your wounds when she arrived home from the hospital.”
“Uh, thanks, but I’m fine now.” She held up the front of the PJ top.
Ami looked closely at the redhead’s stomach. Indeed the burns were gone. “Amazing!”
“Uh, yeah. Can I get my clothes? I really need to bolt. My…uh…cousin is waiting on me.”
“Sure. Just wait right here.” Ami ran to get the clothes.
Ranma-Chan saw here bag propped up against one of the walls of the room. She checked through it to make sure nothing was gone. Everything was there just like she had packed it. She found another shirt, although it wasn’t weighted. The one that had been holed was her only weighted shirt. Ami finally showed up with her pants. The girl was dragging the pants along the floor.
“These are impossibly heavy! How do you wear them?”
“Like this.” Ranma-Chan grabbed the pants and quickly changed into the pants and walked around a little bit. She figured they were both girls, so it didn’t matter if she changed in front of the blue haired girl. “It helps me get stronger.”
“Wow.”
“Well, thanks for the hospitality, and thank your mom as well. I REALLY need to get out of here.”
“I understand and you are welcome.” Ami smiled at the redhead.
Ranma-Chan left the house and found an alley to duck into. She pulled out the thermos that she had tucked in her pack. She checked the water and it had gone cold. Using her Ki, she heated the water up and dumped in on her head. Ranma was back to male, and it was time to go face Akane. He opted to roof hop instead of fly (he didn’t want to attract THAT much attention.)
He finally reached the dojo. He stuck his ear to the door. No class, good. He slid open the door and stepped inside. He saw Akane asleep against the far wall. He walked over and saw the bags under her eyes and the wet spots on the sleeves of her shirt. She must have cried herself to sleep. If he had had any idea where their beds were, he would have just carried her up, but he had no idea. He put a hand on her shoulder and shook it. “Hey, Akane. Wake up.”
Her head flopped back and forth a couple of times before her eyes opened. “Ranma?” She blinked her eyes. “Ranma!” She threw her arms around him and hugged him close. “I was so worried! I thought something had happened to you, or you didn’t forgive me!” She started to cry again into his shoulder. “I’m sorry, Ranma. I’ll try to make it up to you!”
Ranma just held her close. They had so few of these moments together, just them and nobody else. “It’s okay. Akane. I passed out when I went to get my bag. Whatever the girl hit me with, it took a lot of my power. It wasn’t a Ki blast, so I wasn’t prepared for its effect.”
“Are you all right?” She looked up into his eyes.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Ranma just continued to hold her. “Let’s just be quiet and enjoy this.”
Akane nodded. She knew that these intimate times between them were few and far between. She reached up and put the palm of her hand on Ranma’s cheek and turned his face to hers. Their lips began to move toward each other’s.
“Yo, Goten! Get out here, you little punk! We got business to do!” A tall gray-haired guy in a suit walked in and noticed the couple sitting in the floor. “Oh, sorry! Don’t mind me! I’ll just pass and go wake up Goten. Say, who are you two?”
Ranma and Akane sighed and separated from each other. Ranma stood up. “I’m Saotome Ranma of the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts. This is Tendo Akane of the Tendo School of Anything Goes Martial Arts. Pan and us are staying with Goten for a while.”
“Oh yeah, I remember Goten mentioning something about house guests. I’m Yamucha, Goten’s business partner. Nice to meet you.” He held out his hand and Ranma shook it.
“What’s all the noise this early in the morning?” Goten walked in wearing a bathrobe. He noticed the looks that Ranma and Akane were giving him. He looked down at himself. “Sorry, old habits die hard.” He turned to Yamucha and stretched. “What’s up, old man?”
“Just found us another location near the Hikawa shrine on the other side of town.”
“So who’s going to run it?”
“Me, of course.”
“Yamucha. Yamucha. Yamucha.”
“What?”
“I told you that temple maiden was too young for you. You’ll give out long before she does.”
“Hey! That has nothing to do with it! It was cheap property!”
“Sure. And I’m Vegita’s love child.”
“You never know…I’ve had my doubts…”
“Yeah, well at least I’m not the dirty old man. You always wanted to be Roshi didn’t you?”
“Very funny, goldie. Anyway, we can open within a month.”
“Fine with me. Want me to help out?”
“I think I can handle it.”
“Just don’t handle the temple maiden.”
“Hey!!!”
The only reason why Akane hadn’t said anything during this whole exchange was that Ranma had her in a bear hug with his hand over her mouth. “Leave them be Akane.” He whispered in her ear. “We don’t want another scene like yesterday.” Akane relaxed in his arms and dropped her head.
Yamucha started heading for the door. “I just wanted to give you the good news. Pretty soon we can start the franchise. Later, man.”
“Yeah, later, you old letch.” Goten chuckled a bit as the door slid closed. He looked down and saw Ranma with his hand over Akane’s mouth. “Good thinking, Ranma.” With that he just walked back up the stairs to the residential part of the dojo.
Ranma released Akane. “Let’s just let them drop, please?”
Akane shook her head. “Okay, but they’re both perverts.”
“Okay, I’m really going to have to lay down some definitions of perverts for you sometime.”
“We’ll do it later.” Akane got up. “Right now I need a bath. Your room is up the stairs to the left and the bath is at the end of the hall.”
Ranma got back to his feet. “Okay. Just hurry up. I don’t want to wait all day for you.”
“For what?”
“Training, of course. We still need to get you better trained in the Ki-techniques. You can’t keep using your anger blast.”
“But I like my anger blast!”
“It’s tearing you apart, Akane. You’re the only one that isn’t seeing that.”
“Is not!”
“Oh go take a bath! We’ll argue later!”
Akane huffed a little and went up the stairs. Ranma picked up his bag and followed shortly after. Something needs to change soon. He thought. Or this is going to be a loooonnng stay.
